EVENT POLICY

DEFINITION

Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Ops Solutions.  Event(s) is used to describe any workshop, organized meeting, or event hosted and/or organized and delivered by us.

GENERAL COMMENTS

Participants will do their best to act professionally and ethically to and with all other participants and host(s) of any event and treat each other with respect.  Failing this shall result in expulsion without reimbursement.

PAYMENT DUE

Unless otherwise agreed, the full amount of participation in any event is due immediately upon registration.  If we do not receive the fee immediately, we are not able to guarantee your attendance.  Fees are subject to applicable taxes.

PRICE ADJUSTMENTS

Ops Solutions reserves the right to adjust prices without notice, should there be unexpected changes or fluctuations in the cost of delivering an event or service.  Ops Solutions reserves the right to modify or adjust prices when deemed necessary.

In all cases, clients and/or participants will be notified and have the option to agree with and pay for any adjustments within 48 hours of notification to the adjustment or have their registration cancelled and refunded.

CANCELLATION & SUBSTITUTION

If Ops Solutions cancels an event:

  • You will receive a full refund, or

  • If you are hosting a private, on-site event, you will be given the option to reschedule to a mutually agreeable future event date otherwise you will receive a full refund.

 If you cancel participation in an event with at least 14 days notice, you will be:

  • At our discretion, given the option to reschedule to a mutually agreeable future event date, or

  • Refunded 90% of the event registration fee with the balance covering payment processing and administrative costs.

 If you cancel participation in an event with less than 14 days notice:

  • Refund will not be possible as event commitments will have been finalized,

  • Participant substitution can be made at any time at no cost,

  • If you are hosting an on-site event, you will be given the option to reschedule to a mutually agreeable future event date up until 48 hours prior to the event, at which time refund will no longer be possible.

Refunds will not be available for “no shows.”  No refunds or exchanges will be made for any missed or unused services, materials, or meals.

All notifications of cancellation or substitution(s) must be made via email to Martin@OpsSolutions.ca.

REFUNDS

We will notify you once we’ve received your refund inquiry, and let you know if the refund was approved or not.  If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 

Ops Solutions shall not be liable for any injuries, damages or losses of any kind incurred because of changes made to work processes arising out of any event.  Any such changes are the sole responsibility of the organization hosting and/or registering in the event.  Event participants, and the organizations registering or hosting them, have the responsibility of making the final decisions around the implementations of any event suggestions or ideas.

As an organization registering one or more individuals for an event, you agree to indemnify and hold Ops Solutions harmless from and against all liabilities, costs, charges and expenses (including legal fees and disbursements) reasonably incurred by Ops Solutions in respect of any third party action or proceeding to which your organization may be a party and which is related to or in any way associated with the event, except as those liabilities, costs, charges and expenses relate to negligent or wrongful acts or omissions of Ops Solutions.

Participants further understand that during the event, participants may have the opportunity to take part in various activities on a volunteer-basis, any of which could carry risk beyond the control of Ops Solutions.  Therefore, participants understand that they are under no obligation to participate in any events and, if they do decide to participate, such a decision is theirs alone and Ops Solutions will not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, expense, delay or inconvenience arising out of such participation.

FOOD ALLERGIES

Participants are aware that one of the risks inherent in general involvement with Ops Solutions’ events is exposure to outside foods and food preparation methods that may result in food allergies or other allergies.

Participants therefore waive any and all claims that they have or may in the future have against Ops Solutions, and release from all liability Ops Solutions, and its owner(s), directors, officers, employees, servants, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Personnel”) for any damages or loss due to any food or other allergies which participants may be exposed to during the event.  Participants therefore waive any and all claims that they have or may in the future have against Ops Solutions, and release from all liability Ops Solutions, and its owner(s), directors, officers, employees, servants, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Personnel”) for any damages or loss due to any food or other allergies which participants may be exposed to during the event.

MATERIAL OWNERSHIP

Participants may be given materials related to events, in either electronic format or hard copy.  The materials are given to the participants for reference use.  They may use the materials for internal training or projects within the organization they are part of.  The materials shall not be given or sold to others who did not participate in the event.  The materials are for sole use by the event participants who have received specific training on the materials.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Event participants may be exposed to confidential information pertaining to the services provided by Ops Solutions.  Participants agree to hold in confidence all such confidential information.
